Facilitating shared leadership for procurement

Project Type:
stakeholder engagement, implementation planning and support, communications and reporting

healthy partnerships was invited to facilitate the early procurement stages of a new statewide project, the Aboriginal Safe Havens evaluation. We collaborated with Aboriginal service and community leaders, providers and NSW Government representatives to form a shared leadership procurement team. Through facilitation of this partnership, healthy partnerships supported the development of:

  • a plain-language summary of the new model of care
  • defined service requirements
  • evaluation criteria
  • tender documents.

The approach centred Aboriginal leadership, strengthened collaboration between potential service partners and community voices, and ensured the procurement process reflected local priorities and was compliant with government requirements.

An illustration of people's hands stacked together gives the idea of a team.
