Building collaborative cultures of care

Project Type:
evidence scans and translation

healthy partnerships developed a web-based resource to guide practitioners and service managers to reduce seclusion and restraint in NSW mental health services.

To develop the guide, we collaborated with people with lived experience of mental health issues, their families, kinship groups and carers, and mental health service providers.

The guide provides:
• key principles from the Mental Health Commission of NSW’s Lived Experience Framework and the ACI Guide to Build Codesign Capability
• care and organisational approaches to improve active collaboration
• strategies to transform principles into actions
• practical examples of these strategies in practice
• helpful resources.

The image shows the Building collaborative cultures of care website shown on a graphic image of a laptop.
