A NSW Local Health District

For this project, healthy partnerships drew together the various policy directive, national position paper and commission recommendations relating to mental health and developed an actionable plan for a Local Health District’s Mental Health Services.

The project involved:

  • summarising 24 existing and in-publication mental health frameworks, policies and findings from commissions (this review revealed 588 potential actions)
  • identifying local opportunities for improvement and action with mental health team members
  • theming actions and developing local recommendations
  • developing a consolidated action plan to progress priorities and improve the experiences and outcomes of care for people using local health services
  • providing an executive summary to enable clear and consistent communication about the work.
