Physical health care for people living with mental health issues

Project Type:
Policy review and development

This project involved working with clinical and policy experts to revise and redevelop the outdated Physical health care of mental health consumers guideline. The project involved evidence scanning, clinician and peer worker consultation and reshaping content in line with updated mental health policy and frameworks (with a focus on the Equally Well statement). The project culminated in an updated policy including an action plan to guide the work of Local Health Districts in implementation.

This project was conducted entirely via virtual committees and meetings, and using electronic libraries, due to client choice.
